Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) Activities

The Campagna Center’s Retired & Senior Volunteer Program matches volunteers with more than 120 volunteer worksites. RSVP serves Alexandria, Arlington, and Fairfax County and works in concert with local, regional, national, and international volunteer centers, websites, and clearinghouses.

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Participating in intergenerational Environmental Clean ups in partnership with the National Park Service to help restore the natural  habitat at Dyke Marsh. The cleanups occur 9 months out of the year
  • Tutoring and mentoring children in local schools systems
  • Entering the Annual Young at Art contest, a juried art show for artists 55 and better
  • Working with Meals on Wheels to distribute meals to persons in need
  • Working with non-profit and proprietary health organizations to help meet the needs of constituents and family members. Volunteers participate by manning a patient information desk, staffing thrift shops, working in the medical records department, delivering reading materials to patients, and more.
