On December 5 - 6, 2014, we will host the 44th Annual Scottish Christmas Walk Weekend and Parade, in partnership with The Scottish Government, The Saint Andrew's Society of Washington, D.C. and the City of Alexandria. Warm your heart with holiday cheer and join a full lineup of festivities that celebrates the rich Scottish heritage of Old Town Alexandria. Tour historic Old Town homes decorated for the season, wander through a marketplace full of greenery and unique gifts, purchase greenery for your Christmas decorations, enjoy the tastes of fine Scotch, and last, but certainly not least, take in the sights and sounds of the unique Scottish Christmas Walk Parade with its stirring bagpipes and magnificent Clan tartans. The Weekend is hosted by The Campagna Center, and proceeds benefit our six educational programs that touch people of every age group. All events will take place rain or shine.

TASTE OF SCOTLAND: Tickets may be purchased on Friday, December 5 at The Campagna Center, 418 S. Washington Street, Alexandria from 9:30 AM to 2 PM (703-549-0111) AND at The George Washington Masonic National Memorial, 101 Callahan Drive, Alexandria; 6:30 PM for Patrons and 8 PM for General Admission.

Visit here to view the Scottish Christmas Walk Parade route. Following the parade, join us for a massed band concert featuring Scottish bagpipe bands at King and Royal Streets in front of City Hall at Market Square. It will be a grand affair!

NEW: We are excited to announce Junior Friends of The Campagna Center (TCC) is partnering with Holiday Marketplace vendor Discovery Toys for this year’s Toy Drive! Discovery Toys creates highly engaging learning toys, books, games and music that help parents and others teach learning skills through play. Please consider purchasing an item from Discovery Toys for the Toy Drive or giving a cash donation to Discovery Toys. They will be located at the Holiday Marketplace on Saturday, December 6th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. At the end of the toy drive donated items will be inventoried and the cash donations will be used to supplement the items collected from the drive to ensure we have enough gifts for all age groups.

Enjoy more than 100 marching units filled with the magnificent tartans of Scottish Clans, the stirring sound of Scottish bagpipes and drums, Scottish dancers, re-enactment groups, Scottie dog groups, dignitaries, classic cars, Santa Claus, and much more. The 44th annual Scottish Christmas Walk Parade begins at St. Asaph and Wilkes Streets and concludes at Market Square with a massed band concert. Click here to view the parade route.
