Elementary School: Campagna Kids

Campagna Kids is a licensed before- and after-school program encouraging creative thinking in children from kindergarten through fifth grade. Its programming follows standards developed by the National Afterschool Alliance and provides small-group learning activities that include chess, science, dance, and drama, as well as math and reading clubs for each grade level.

Campagna Kids offers services to families during the winter and spring breaks as well as during the school year, and implements a summer camp program. We provide services on a sliding-fee scale to accommodate a diverse mix of children. Parents and kids alike rate the program as highly effective, based on evaluation results generated through a third-party evaluation firm. To register please use the links below.

Campagna Kids Program Fees:
Please review fee scales for program pricing below. Campagna Kids accepts Childcare Subsidy from the City of Alexandria.

Campagna Kids School Year 2023-2024:

Registration for SY 23-24 opens on May 30, 2023 at 11:30a.m. For details, please email ckregistration@campagnacenter.org. Families may register online using the links provided above.  For program pricing, please review the monthly sliding fee scale. Registration for SY 23-24 will close on April 29, 2024.

Campagna Kids School Year 2024-2025:

Registration for SY 24-25 will be available soon. Please do not request an account for SY 24-25 until registration is open. If you wish to be added to our registration announcement email list, please email ckregistration@campagnacenter.org.

Registration for Before/Aftercare is on a first-come, first-served basis, due to capacity. Completing an application does not guarantee enrollment, due to licensing capacity. Children are not officially enrolled until you have received an acceptance notification.

Campagna Kids Camps:
For an additional cost, Campagna Kids offers full-day Winter, Spring and Summer camps to assist parents with their childcare needs (to be considered, registration is required). Our registration team will announce when camp registration opens throughout the school year. Campagna Kids Hours & Locations

The program runs Monday through Friday immediately after school.  Before-school care programs are currently available at Douglas MacArthur, James K. Polk, and Samuel Tucker from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m.

Children that attend Charles Barret, Ferdinand Day, and Cora Kelly, may place a request with ACPS transportation to transport their child to a nearby school for aftercare.

Currently, ACPS provides transportation to the following Campagna Kids Sites:

• From Charles Barret Elementary School, to the Campagna Kids program at George Mason
• From Ferdinand T. Day Elementary School, to the Campagna Kids program at William Ramsay

Program Closing Announcements

All Campagna Kids sites follow the same schedule as Alexandria City Public Schools with respect to emergency closings, delayed openings, and early closings.

Campagna Kids parents should pay attention to the local radio and television stations on days in which weather or other conditions might affect opening and or closing times for Campagna Kids.  Weather-related closings and schedule changes are announced starting at 6:00 a.m. on local radio and television stations, as well as on the ACPS Web site and the ACPS Information Hotline (703-866-5300). We strongly encourage parents to sign-up for e-blast, so that these announcements may be received electronically.
