Campagna Center, Animal Welfare League of Alexandria Receive 2009 Community Builders Award from Alexandria-Washington Masonic Lodge No. 22

Alexandria-Washington Masonic Lodge #22 is pleased to announce that on Tuesday, 13 October 2009, on behalf of the Grand Lodge of Virginia, the lodge will present two annual Community Builder Awards for 2009. The awards are to the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (, which operates the Vola Lawson Animal Shelter, and the Campagna Center (, which provides community resources to strengthen families and help children become caring and productive adults.

The ceremonies will take place beginning at 6:30 pm with a reception for friends of the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria and the Campagna Center in the Grand Masonic Hall of the George Washington Masonic National Memorial. At 7:30 pm all attendees will be invited to assemble in the lodge room for the presentation of the Grand Lodge Award Certificates which include an honorarium for each recipient. The lodge anticipates that officials from the City of Alexandria will be present along with Mrs. Vola Lawson. Directors of the Animal Welfare League, managers of the Animal Shelter, and executives from the Campagna Center to accept the awards on behalf of their respective organizations.
