Alexandria, Va. – February 1, 2016 – The Campagna Center of Alexandria will be hosting NASA Administrator Charles Bolden on March 30, 2016 for a presentation and question and answer session. The general public is welcome to attend. A networking breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m., followed by the presentation from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m.
Administrator Bolden is the 12th Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. He began his duties as head of the agency in 2009. Bolden is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and a retired Marine Corps Major General. Bolden’s 34-year career with the Marines included 14 years as a member of NASA’s Astronaut Office. He traveled to orbit four times, commanding two of the missions and piloting two others. “The Campagna Center is deeply honored to have such a distinguished guest participate in our Business Leaders Circle seminar. There is great interest in the future of our country’s space program and I cannot think of a better speaker to address this most important topic,” said Dr. Tammy Mann, President & CEO of The Campagna Center.
The Campagna Center’s Business Leaders Circle seminars are held once a quarter and are an opportunity for local business leaders to network while learning about relevant issues that impact the community. These seminars are one of the many events held by The Campagna Center throughout the year. The Campagna Center serves over 2,000 children, teens, and adults each year through early childhood education, health and nutrition awareness, before- and after- school programs, tutoring and mentoring, career and college readiness planning, and classes for English language learners.
