Joy Myers joined The Campagna Center in April 2017 as the Chief Development Officer. Since beginning her career 17 years ago as an AmeriCorps VISTA in Appalachia, Joy has devoted her career to human services nonprofits, working on issues ranging from economic development, to housing, to hunger. But it was her experience as the Executive Director at Borromeo Housing, a small transitional housing program for teen moms and their young children, that brought about her passion for early learning and led her to The Campagna Center.
Joy has been a nonprofit fundraiser for the majority of her career, leading organizations in vital economic stability and growth initiatives. Most recently, Joy served as the Chief Development Officer and Deputy Executive Director of the Arlington Food Assistance Center. Joy holds a Bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech, with double-majors in English and Political Science, and double-minors in Biology and Chemistry. Joy also serves as the Outreach Chair for the Giving Circle of HOPE, a women’s giving collective, and she serves on the selection committee for the Reston Scholarship Fund.
