Sue Goodhart began her career in real estate in 1992 after an extensive career in sales and management including fourteen years as a small business owner. Her educational background includes a Masters in City Planning from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dickinson College. Sue understands how to apply these experiences to the business of real estate and has been successful as a result. She is a licensed Realtor in D.C., Virginia, and Maryland and has been a proud Washington area resident for 40 years.
Sue has been one of Alexandria’s top agents since 2003. In 2017, she, along with her team The Goodhart Group, sold 108 million dollars in sales. In 2018 Sue and her daughter Allison, and husband Marty, were invited to be the founding members of the Alexandria office of Compass Real Estate, a national real estate firm. In 2018, Sue has been one of the top 5 agents in volume in Northern Virginia.
Sue actively supports many non-profit charitable organizations in the City if Alexandria. She is the President of the board of St. Coletta’s of Greater Washington, Development Committee Chair of the Campagna Center, a member of the Advisory Council of the Fund for Alexandria's Child, President of the Seminary Ridge Civic Association, and a member of the Alexandria Symphony's SOLA.
In 2009, The Goodhart Group was named the Small Business Philanthropist of the Year by The Alexandria Volunteer Bureau. Sue enjoys spending time with her husband Marty and her daughters Allison and Amanda, their husbands Doug and Ben, grandson Brooks and golden retriever Maddie.
