We are always in need of new resources for our various children’s programs. Connect with us via email at developmentoffice@campagnacenter.org or call 703-549-0111 about donating new supplies, including diapers, new books or toys, and packaged school supplies or art materials.
While we appreciate offers of previously used or opened materials, we’ve found that providing new materials to our students and families produces the best outcomes.
We encourage you to find other good causes that will accept previously used items.
We gladly accept stock donations. It is Campagna’s policy that donations of stock are sold as soon as they are received. Campagna will recognize, for accounting purposes, the value received upon sale. Donors are encouraged to consult with their own legal and tax advisors concerning the tax implications of a stock donation and how the value of a donation is reported to tax authorities.
Please notify Campagna if you make a stock gift so that we can properly credit and acknowledge the donation. When a stock is transferred, the names of donors are not generally communicated from the donor’s brokerage firm to Campagna’s brokerage firm which can make identification and recognition difficult.

The Neighborhood Assistance Act Tax Credit Program for Education (NAPE), administered by the Virginia Department of Education, allows individuals or businesses to receive state tax credits worth up to 65% of eligible donations.
As a participating nonprofit in the NAPE program, Campagna has been given tax credits for the NAPE program year of July 2026 – June 2027 to award to individuals or businesses on a first-come, first-serve basis until we exhaust our allocation.
Per Campagna’s specifications, donors interested in receiving NAPE tax credits must:
- Notify Campagna of their intent before making a donation to be considered for NAPE credits and receive approval from the Development Team.
- Make an unrestricted donation of at least $1,000 to Campagna.
- Sponsor an event at the level of $2,500 or above.
- Some donations are not eligible:
- Unrestricted donations under $1,000 are not eligible.
- Event tickets and sponsorships under $2,500 are not eligible.
- In-kind gifts are not eligible and are recognized in different ways.
- Gifts from Donor Advised Funds and Qualified Charitable Distributions are not eligible.
- Promptly complete the required NAPE form (individual or business) and send it to Campagna to ensure that we can process your tax credit within the State–mandated 40-day window.
We have a limited number of NAPE tax credits, and Campagna reserves the right to withhold or award NAPE credits at its discretion.
Sounds confusing?
Here’s an example: If a donor gives Campagna an unrestricted gift of $1,000, we can grant them $650 worth of tax credits!
If a donor gives Campagna an unrestricted gift of $5,000, we can grant them $3,250 worth of tax credits.
An individual cannot receive tax credits for more than $125,000 worth of gifts within the NAPE program year. There is no upper limit for businesses. (As a reminder, Campagna gets a limited allocation of credits each program year.)

Many businesses match the donations their employees make to nonprofit organizations, like Campagna. We encourage you to ask your employer if they offer this benefit and how you can utilize it. Please let us know if you are pursuing a match from your employer so we can support you through the process.
Workplace giving is an easy way to contribute to our programs.

Encourage your employees to get involved with us. As an employer, you can:
- Provide release time so employees can volunteer during business hours.
- Match volunteer hours in service with a monetary contribution to Campagna.
- Encourage your corporate executives to serve on our board of directors, committees, or advisory counsels
- Organize an employee donation drive
Share your expertise with us by donating pro bono services or discounts on services provided. Examples of pro bono services we frequently make use of include:
- Training (professional development, financial literacy, career exploration, etc.)
- Space rental for events, staff training, etc.
- Program-related health offerings in service of our children and families (examples include free dental screenings and physicals provided by licensed healthcare professionals).
