Mr. Butler has been an executive in the IT industry for over 30 years. A native of Louisville, Kentucky, he has been an Alexandrian for over 10 years and has lived in the Washington metro area for 20 years. A 2017 Graduate of the Alexandria City Academy, Mason has served in a financial and leadership capacity for several education and fraternal organizations since 2001. His IT career started by writing grants for elementary and high schools in rural Kentucky for IT equipment and blossomed into a leadership role managing business for IBM across the country. He has led several IT startup companies and has been working with the Federal government in Washington DC since 2003. Mason lives in Alexandria with his wife of 10 years, Kristin, and their dog named Derby. You can usually find him on a weekend with local friends, playing less than average golf, watching a soccer match, or volunteering.
